Your opinion is confidential.</p> <p class="indented">By definition <strong>Civ·il-Rights&nbsp;(s-v&#8217;Yl-r+ts&#8217;)</strong> are the rights belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship, especially the fundamental <strong>freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the 13th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution</strong> and by subsequent acts of Congress, including civil liberties, due process, equal protection of the laws, and freedom from discrimination.</p> <p class="indented"><strong>Human Rights</strong> are &quot;basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled.&quot; Proponents of this concept believe that all Humans are endowed with certain entitlements merely by reason of being human.</p> <p class="indented">In the second sentence of the <strong>Declaration of Independence</strong>, you will find a sweeping statement of <strong>Human Rights</strong> in the United States of America: &quot;<strong>We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness</strong>.&quot; This sentence has been called &quot;one of the best-known sentences in the English language&quot; and &quot;the most potent and consequential words in American history.&quot;</p> <p class="indented"><strong>Civil Rights</strong> are guaranteed by the Constitution of the country that you live in. You are entitled to those rights because you are a citizen of that country. <strong>Human Rights</strong> are rights that you have inherently due to the fact that you are a human being.
